Thule HullAPort XTR Kayak & Canoe Carrier

The Thule HullAPort XTR Kayak and Canoe Carrier gives us versatile and fuss-free ways to transport our kayaks to and from the water. The universal mounting design fits most load bar systems while the rack locks into two different carrying positions-- an angled, J-cradle position for one boat or a vertical, stacker position that fits two kayaks with a combined weight of 130 pounds or less. The HullAPort fits kayaks up to 36 inches in width and up to 75 pounds in weight to accommodate most budget boats, canoes, recreational kayaks, and touring kayaks. That lets us carry a wide range of watercraft, travel solo, or shuttle a couple of boats--and, of course, would let us buy a second kayak without needing to buy another kayak carrier! On top of that versatility, the HullAPort XTR is also easy to use. The carriers come fully assembled out of the box, so we can mount them to our crossbars in minutes. For added security, we can lock them to our roof rack with the Thule One Key System (not included). A simple lever locks the carriers into an angled or upright position and releases them to fold flat when not in use, so we can park safely in the garage and avoid annoying road noise on the highway. The integrated StrapCatch keeps our straps in place and speeds up our loading process, and Thule thoughtfully included the load straps, bow line, and stern line that we need to transport one kayak safely on our sweet new rack.
