The Ribelle HD Mountaineering Boot is a less technical version of Scarpa's Ribelle Tech, and it's a comfier option when our mountaineering objective consists of more trail and rock than technical ice. That's not to say it can't handle glacial crossings or even steep bootpacking, since it has a waterproof, breathable upper and Vibram outsole with semi-automatic crampon compatibility. It's just slightly more agile, lighter, and easier to walk around in than the Ribelle Tech.
