The SRAM PG-1070 Cassette, unlike many competitors' cassettes at this level, is made completely from steel cogs. SRAM’s design wizards, however, have managed to keep the weight of the PG-1070 at just 220 grams, without resorting to Ti cogs at the larger end of the cassette, which wear faster than steel, and contribute to faster overall drivetrain wear. The PG-1070 will fit on all nine and ten-speed Shimano and SRAM-style splined freehub bodies and is compatible with all 10-speed chains, though SRAM of course states that shifting performance will be optimal with its chains.
