Combining a lightweight design, a short-travel platform, and exceptionally capable geometry, the Element brews the perfect storm of an XC bike. A slimmer top tube and upgraded pivot design take the Element's looks and capability to the next level, giving us a new frame profile and making for a more durable design. 120mm of Smoothlink suspension crushes technical climbs while remaining capable all over the mountain, and the lightweight platform combined with 29-inch wheels helps us skip over trail obstacles and maintain our speed. Rocky Mountain slapped the Element with size-specific tunes for optimal performance across all sizes, and revised suspension kinematics with a more linear progression. Rocky Mountain's Ride-4 adjustment system gives us four different settings that allow us to adjust our frame geometry to our riding style and the terrain for more capability. The Element has exceptionally slack frame geometry for a cross-country bike and sports a 65. 5-degree headtube angle in the neutral setting to give us enhanced capability and confidence on the most aggressive XC courses. The long reach and wheelbase also help keep us composed in steep, aggressive terrain, and the 76. 5-degree seat tube angle makes for a very efficient pedaling position for climbing. The Element is our choice for tight singletrack and flow trails. The C50 XT build of the Rocky Mountain Element equips us with reliable, proven components for a steal of a price.
