With a 66. 5-degree head tube angle and stout 29-inch wheels, the Trail 429 is a confident descender, and the 75. 5-degree seat tube angle allows us to rocket up climbs by centering our weight over the pedals to ensure an optimal pedaling position. When steeper trails and technical descents are on the forecast for the day, we use the flip chip in the rear shock link to make the Trail 429 longer, lower, and slacker for better stability and confidence. An integrated chainstay and downtube protectors shrug rock strikes and chain slaps, and the top tube's water bottle mount can hold Pivot's Tool Dock system, so we always have our multi-tool with our bike.
