Simply sandpaper rough, clean, apply the patch, and you can reinstall the tube, inflate, and continue on with your ride. If the flat is a little more serious and you've torn the sidewall of your tire, this kit has you covered there too with two TB-2 tire boots. The seriously strong, waterproof, vinyl patches with adhesive backing holds the boot in place preventing the tube from pooching out of the tire, again saving your ride. If something finds its way lose or you need to make an adjustment like raising or lowering your saddle height, the AWS-9. 2 fold up hex wrench set has popular tools to make the fix. The tools and patches fit in an easy to carry nylon pouch that you can throw in your pack or saddle bag.
