The rod loads better for improved casting thanks to a 70/30 blank configuration. This split also employs a Tip-over Butt ferrule connection giving the added benefit of improving balance and feel. The SSX Surf Rods, like its predecessor, are built with cork-wrapped non-slip fore and rear grips. Upgraded Sea Guide XQH series frames are made with marine-grade SS316 stainless steel material for superior strength and corrosion resistance with aluminum oxide inserts so that you can run either braided and monofilament lines through them.
