The Mountain Hardwear Direttissima 55L Backpack is built for the long haul, whether that's a couple of backpacking trips through the warmer months or setting out on a thru-hike that takes us through all kinds of climates and conditions. The super durable nylon material is sturdy enough to handle scrapes against abrasive rock, and the PU/TPU coating sheds moisture to keep our gear dry on the trail. The bag is made to handle heavy, awkward loads, with an aluminum frame and easily adjusted compression straps to keep everything balanced and plush hip and shoulder support that allows us to easily pivot and move when we're fresh off of a re-supply. There are multiple pockets to keep our essentials close at hand, and external lash points allow us to tote along extra gear for more technical hikes.
