The Trail Shield casing is ruggedly reinforced from sidewall slashes and abrasive punctures on notoriously technical trails, courtesy of its high-density protection layer. Michelin's GumX3D compound strategically employs three rubber compounds for the best in fast-rolling efficiency, tread longevity, and tenacious cornering grip. As expected, the center features the hardest rubber compound for faster rolling and greater tread longevity. The rubber compounds get softer as you work towards the shoulder knobs for tons of cornering grip when you're laying into turns and carving around sweeping berms."
