When the approach requires some nav skills to rough scrambles, we depend on the La Sportiva TX4 Evo Approach Shoe to solidify our footing. Before stepping onto the trail, we cinch the laces, squeezing out dead space for a snug sending fit. The rugged suede upper, full-wrap rand, and burly toe bumper protect our feet through the wild terrain, while the supportive platform and the sole's Climbing Zone let us hop right on our warmup. After snagging a redpoint send, we head back down to our car with the sole's Impact Brake System controlling our descent. When the sole is worn, we send it in for a new base, extending the life of the shoe and keeping our carbon footprint down.
