Whether we are just cruising the connector trails or seeking out aggressive lines, the Ibis Ripley has long been one of our favorite trail bikes. This year, it received an array of updates to take its capability, as well as its sizing and fitment, to the next level. The Ripley now features 130mm of DW-Link suspension for improved capability and confidence on the trails and a longer-travel 140mm fork, and a slacker 64. 9-degree head tube angle, for more confidence on steeper terrain. Some of the most notable improvements in the Ripley are in its fit, featuring a new size range and size-specific geometry to ensure a better fit for all riders. Now available in five sizes, the Ripley fits a broader range of riders and features a new Extra Medium size in the middle of the range to better break up the sizes. Size-specific chainstays, bottom bracket heights, and seat tube angles vastly improve the fit from the previous model year and ensure proportional frame dimensions for all sizes. The Ripley comes as a full 29'er, but thanks to the flip chip on the rear shock link, we can run a mixed-wheel setup if we choose to. Ibis's carbon fiber frame is exceptionally reliable and lightweight and is fitted with a Fox Float Factory DPS rear shock for top-tier small bump sensitivity and tunable performance on the trail.
