"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: ""I run the R 16s on one of my daily drivers—they feel bomber underfoot. With a DIN that goes to 16, they’re perfect for heavier or more aggressive skiers. The low stand height keeps things feeling connected to the snow without compromising release reliability. Totally solid binding."" When we’re charging groomers, dipping into chop, or stomping technical lines, we want gear that’s as committed as we are. The Fischer R 16 Ski Bindings are built for high-performance skiers who need rock-solid retention, precise energy transfer, and the confidence to go full-send. Engineered with a wide DIN range from 5 to 16, these bindings accommodate aggressive skiers and higher body weights without compromise. With a low 17mm stand height, they keep our center of gravity tight to the ski for direct power transmission and intuitive edge control. The solid black colorway and compact profile keep it stealthy and clean. Designed for boots with a wider range of sole lengths, the R 16’s included 85mm brakes work with most all-mountain skis, while wider “Red-A” brakes are available separately for fatter setups."
