Cisco Electric Downrigger | Telescopic Boom

The Cisco Electric Downrigger models include the Telescopic Boom and 3' Solid Boom downriggers. Every component of the premier trolling equipment is precision machined from a solid piece of aluminum and anodized to military specs.Motor Specs: The downriggers are equipped with a powerful 12-volt motor that has a 7/16' stainless steel output shaft, allowing it to retrieve at 135 ft/min. The three mounting lugs are positioned in a 1-7/8' bolt circle and have 1/4 -28 fine threaded holes. The electric controls are accompanied by a 15-amp resettable breaker, ensuring safety. With enough torque, this motor can tackle any task, no matter the conditions. For extra protection, the motors include a weatherproof heat-shrunk boot around the exterior of the motor/power leads and are coated with GE silicone sealant, providing long-term sustainability.Swivel Base and Ball Cradle: The swivel base has a bolt pattern that fits perfectly with the Cisco downriggers and thumbscrew mounts. It is also compatible with Big Jon downriggers and thumbscrew mounts. The indexing wheel has 16 positions that are indexed every 22 1/2. The tapered stainless steel pin and tapered hole ensure a lifetime without any 'slop.' For easy movement, stainless ball bearings are installed on the top and bottom of the indexing wheel. The T-Handle is located on the rear side of the downrigger, but it can be rotated to face the left or right side of the downrigger for more clearance room if desired. The T-Handle is designed to have an easy grip while rotating the unit. The provided ball cradle allows you to hold more than one weight easily. Unlike other manufacturers, the open-end cut at the front of the cradle allows storage of a 12 lb. weight securely in the cradle while allowing 8 lb.+ weights to hang through the bottomless base!Rod Holders: The rod holders come with a base that can be installed in a reverse direction so they sit behind the reels. The rod holder's tube-style design can rotate 360 while locking into 20 positions via a spring-loaded mechanism. The mechanism is engineered exclusively, and when engaged, it is secured by machined teeth around the entire circumference, ensuring long-lasting sustainability with virtually no wear on the product. Apart from radial movement, the tube can be adjusted to any angle from 0-90 by simply actuating the padded lever. The lever can be rotated in any direction to meet the needs of each user. At the bottom of each tube is a machined extension that mates with the cross-cut in the rod handle butt, preventing the rod from swaying.Pulleys and Clutch Knob: The pulleys are constructed with solid aluminum side plates, hard anodized aluminum sheave, stainless steel ball bearings, and bolted together with stainless steel hardware. The sheave is recessed to prevent the line from being captured between the side plate and the sheave. The manufacturer rates the 12/0 swivel at 1500 lbs (this swivel is constructed in the USA). Unlike other manufacturers, you will not find a single piece of plastic on Cisco pulleys. This solid aluminum clutch knob is 2 1/2' in diameter with a 7/16-14 thread tapped thru hole. This knob can directly replace plastic knobs found on Big Jon electric drives.7' Aluminum Reel: The reel is made entirely from a solid round of aluminum and boasts a 7/16' bore. It comes with four clutch pads, machined from a solid bar of 660 bronze, which can withstand extreme pressure and heat. Additionally, a depth counter is installed to monitor the number of revolutions the reel has made.Downrigger Electric Controls: The electric control box is made of polycarbonate material and features a waterproof enclosure with stainless steel screws. The wire fittings have rubber inserts to grip and seal the wire as it enters the control box, ensuring a watertight seal. The control box includes a resettable push button 8-amp breaker with a waterproof boot. A 3-way switch (on-off-on) controls the reel's spooling rotation, with a switch guard and a waterproof boot. The wire used is 14 gauge fine stranded low voltage copper wire, and its jacket is UV, water, and oil-resistant. Cisco provides 6 feet of wire from the boat's power supply to the downrigger. The Telescopic Boom extends from 3-6 ft., while the Solid Boom model is 3 ft. in lengthTelescopic Boom part #: DRTBMSolid Boom part#: DRSBMEach downrigger is precision machined from a solid piece of aluminum and anodized to military specsThe Telescopic Boom includes an idler and end pulley, while the Solid Boom does not
