The Cervelo Aspero GRX 820 Gravel Bike, built for high-speed mixed terrain training and racing, features a carbon construction and unique gravel geometry to help us reach our goals. At first glance, this gravel-grinder looks like a high-speed road bike, but upon closer look, we are presented with several adaptations to make this a bike that can hit speeds never before seen on gravel roads. The unique geometry features a steep head tube, shorter stem, and longer top tube to reduce toe overlap and optimize our stability, along with a reach angle that pushes back our center of gravity from the steering axis to offer a more balanced downhill ride. With upgrades from the original Aspero build, including a lowered standover height and a slimmed downtube profile, we have a fast, versatile, and comfortable bike ready for anything we throw its way. Shimano's new 2 x 12-speed groupset takes us up climbs, down descents, and full speed ahead to the finish line, providing a wide range of gearing ratios explicitly designed for gravel riding. This groupset includes a 48/31t chainring combination, an 11-36t cassette range, and a hydraulic disc brake system that offers pinpoint control when slamming on the brakes is unavoidable. Since it's optimized for mixed-terrain riding, the front, and rear derailleur are designed to keep the chain tensioned no matter how rough the terrain gets, while the Fulcrum Rapid Red 300 wheelset with WTB Vulpine tires keep us rolling fast while in complete control of our ride.
