The Black Diamond Distance 22L Backpack integrates elements of a running vest into a hybrid daypack that's appropriate for long-distance trail running hiking and scrambling. The vest-style harness holds the pack close to our body for less bounce when running and less bulk when scrambling and it's stacked with a series of pockets that give us easy access to our soft flasks (sold separately) snacks sunglasses gels and energy bars. We especially like the dedicated pockets for our Z-shaped trekking poles and attachment points for our piolets if we'll be mountaineering at high elevations. This 22-liter pack blurs the boundaries between running hiking and climbing packs so we can enjoy whatever outdoor discipline that's currently calling our name.
