We absolutely love thru-axles on our bikes and can't think of a world where we wouldn't want to use them on any disc brake equipped bike. Really the only negative we can come up with is when it comes time to true the wheels. With the lack of any axle ends and most thru-axles too large to fit in a truing stand, holding the wheels in a stand presents a challenge. The Geiszler Truing Stand Adaptor is a stepped adapter designed to work with every thru-axle fitment currently on the market: 12 x 142, 12 x 148, 12 x 150, 15 x 100, 15 x 110, 20 x 110mm, Lefty and 24mm Maverick. The tool can be bolted through the axle with the included stud check dish during a wheelbuild or the ends simply slip into the axle for minor adjustments and is held in place with the stand's arms. Simple yet effective, this tool keeps all the adapters in the same spot so you don't have to hunt down each one. Like all Abbey tools, the Geiszler is made in Bend, Oregon and built to last.
