The slim, tapered tip area of the AFTCO® Flying Gaff Handle slices through water fast and with great accuracy to minimize the problems of gaffing powerful fish. Like all AFTCO taper-tip aluminum fishing gaffs, the shaft of the Fly Gaff is "swaged" for uniform strength from end to end, thereby eliminating unnecessary weight. A machined aluminum gimbal at the butt of the shaft secures the attachment rope; and along with the plastic insert in the tip, prevents water from seeping into the shaft. Note: 8' handle fits the AFTCO 4" Fly Gaff Hook only.
