The Code Black® Timber Choke Tube by PatternMaster® is designed specifically for optimum performance out to 40 yards. A patented stud ring inside the tube creates a much shorter shot string. A short shot string is more effective on flying targets as the pellets strike the target all at once; where as flying targets tend to pass through drawn out shot strings with few pellets striking them. Timber tubes can be used with steel or other non-toxic shot as well as lead, and any shot size from #8 to 000 buckshot. (Not for use with flight control wads or shotgun slugs.) Code Black choke tubes are made of 17-4 stainless steel, and are finished with a non-reflective bronze titanium coating; they extend out from the muzzle with a knurled end for hand tightening.
