I bought this jacket because it was waterproof and wanted the ability to layer for the unpredictable and ever-changing northern fall and spring. I actually have worn it all winter!

I have had a Weather Edge jacket for many years, so I was happy to see this longer version, with removable liner, go on sale. It is the perfect weight — warm but not bulky. Plus it is water resistant, but washes easily. The shade of green is very nice. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with this coat. I love the length. It has kept me cozy warm during our southern cold snap in the 20's and is impervious to the wind. Have worn the down liner lots by itself too. Love the versatility of the two layers.

Great combo coat for changing seasons! The inner lightweight down jacket is good on it's own as a thigh-length down "sweater" or as a coat liner for colder weather. It isn't heavy or bulky. I would have liked knit cuffs on the down liner (easier for me to push up to fit my short arms) but I just roll up the banded cuffs. I've worn the combo for 15-20 degree windy walks and it was very comfortable. Both pieces have room for movement and deep zippered pockets for gloves, phone which I appreciate.

After sending two other raincoats back - this one did fit - size small - color Sage. I liked the inner liner added for warmth that can be removable. weight 107.5 lbs. height 5'4''1/2 - would have been nice to have had more choices in colors.

I really love the color of this jacket, the length of it (I'm a tall lady), and the weather resistant capabilities! I bought it specifically for the sub-degree aspect and the water-resistance. I gifted it to myself for an early birthday gift for my trip to Ireland... which is cold and rainy this time of year. I've gotten to test drive it in the rain and freezing temps, it does a wonderful job. It is a little out of my normal price range, but I got it on sale which was helpful! I think it is worth the cost though if you need something quality for specific harsh climates!

I convinced my best friend to buy this coat from the store. She said "Best investment ever." She lives in Vegas, and loves the versatility of this coat. I decided to purchase online for my 88 yr old mom for Christmas. She is 4' 11" and 140lbs. I ordered the XL. Unfortunately it was too big, and the sleeves were too long. A sizer smaller in Petite would've been better. The length of the parka was actually okay. I had to return it. I decided too late to order one for myself. (Not available in my size S). This is a Better version of the Girl-on-the-Go insulated trench coat which also has a liner, but the linercannot be worn on its own- No zipper or closures.. I know EB is changing its Logo. So going forward with the brand changes, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE continue to keep this versitle parka available. Also, it needs to be available in Petite sizes.

I was looking for a waterproof coat to dog walk. I walk in all weather. First time trying out was in heavy wind driven rain. Some water came in. Since then, it's been waterproof and I've used it several times in steady rain. I walk 45 min. twice a day. I bought the green coat. It looked like sage in the picture but I was happy to see it was a darker shade. I love the two coats and am so glad the liner comes out as a coat on its own. It's a beauty and is quite a functional down coat. I bought a medium instead of a small to be able to put more layers. The outer coat might be a little to large to wear without the liner but the two together are great. Being short, both coats go almost to my knees. Yay! I'm very happy with everything about it!

I love this coat and plan to use it for many years. It repels water and snow with perfection. I never get wet while shoveling snow. The exterior shell keeps me dry, interior down lining keeps me warm. It's not bulky making it easy to get in/out of car and do everyday activities. I love the adjustable hood. I cinch it down tight and my head stays dry yet I can still see, again while shoveling snow. Eliminates need for a big bulky beanie. Zippers are strong, good quality. Length goes a few inches past my backside; just right. Received multiple compliments on the coat's green color. The best coats I've had over the years have been from Eddie Bauer- durable, high quality, reliable, and perfect for many outdoor uses. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this coat. It is the best coat ever for Spring and Fall. It is NOT a winter coat and will not keep you warm in under 48 degrees. But in Spring and Fall, it is absolutely perfect. The outer shell totally keeps the rain off, and the down inner liner is thin and perfect for chilly days. I love wearing the two together. I can remove the outer jacket if it stops raining and just keep the inner later on. Also, if the coat is wet from rain, you can remove the outer layer indoors and be comfortabltly warm inside at a restaurant or shopping with just yhe liner on which looks really nice. I love all the big zip pockets! Five zip pockets in all--three in the outer jacket and 2 hand zip pockets in the liner. I am 5'2, 106 pounds and bought it last year in size XS, and it fits slightly fitted so this year I bought 2 more in size Small (2 colors), so I can have a little more room for layers, which I could not do in the XS. Perfect coat for travelling because of the versatility of wearing the two pieces separately or on their own. When wearing the 2 together, I don't even need to carry purse because all the pockets are fantastic. I hope EB never stops making this coat! And more colors, please. It is functional, practical and comfortable.

I needed to replace my Eddie Bauer rain jacket after 25 years. My new parka is more versatile, with a down liner that can be removed. We live in the foothills above the central California coast. With ample pockets and a high function hood, this is the perfect jacket to wear walking my dogs on rainy and damp, foggy days. Eddie Bauer is a name I trust for timeless outerwear.

Overall this jacket is nice and warm, I haven't used it in the rain yet but it will get use on our upcoming trip to The Netherlands. There are two things that could be improved, the first is that the insulated down liner does not have the capability to zip it to the outer jacket. It is only held together at the neck and sleeve cuffs. When you wear the jacket open this causes the inner liner to move about unnecessarily and looks a bit messy. It would be nice if it could be attached along to front edges either by zippers or buttons. The 2nd thing which is just cosmetic is how large the Eddie Bauer logo is on the sleeve cuff. This would look much nicer if that were smaller or back in the old cursive style logo.

Great pockets and good during outdoor activity for its versatility. Still, not as warm as you'd expect given the layers. Not a good winter coat, but pretty good for cold rain and wind.

- The Walking DogGenderHeightTypeActivityPros Comfort, Fit, VersatileConsBeautiful but not warm enough for meDec 21, 2023
I purchase parka's because they typically are warm. I was certain this down jacket without any velcro was going to be the one. I took my dog out for a walk the other morning wearing: Fleece lined leggings, yoga pants, long sleeved shirt, and a light sweater with both layers of these jacket on. The temperature out was around 32 degrees. I'm sorry to report that I was freezing. I felt the cold on my arms and on my back. I literally regretted taking my little dog on a walk. I didn't even start to feel comfortable until the sun came up and I was nearly at the end of my mile walk. Returning it and trying the girl on the go trench coat next. I wanted something that was a lighter weight but right now and this was. but the lack of warmth was too much and my poor legs...I was never warm in my legs on the entire walk.
- KolibriGenderHeightTypeActivityPros Comfort, VersatileConsLove 3 in 1 qualitiesFeb 15, 2023
I love that it's so versatile - for NorCal winter with rains and not too low temperatures. I can fit a sweater under for extra warmth. I have a shirt waist so it's longer on me than on the model - about mid-tight. I'm taking a star off because I wish they had found a way to put 2 jacket's together so they are attached when worn together, not with just a 1 button at the neck and on sleeves. It's not easy to hang it on a hook and you have to zip each jacket separately. It's not super flattering jacket, but it's comfortable and fits my needs.
- Colliex3GenderHeightTypeActivityPros FitCons Poor QualityNot waterproof and liner is shedding down/feathersJan 10, 2024
Pros: Perfect length, style and fit Cons: It's not waterproof. I just came in from a 15 min dog walk during which it was raining. The inner down liner sleeves were wet almost to my elbows and the front was wet on both sides of the zipper The inner down liner leaves white down tufts and feathers on whatever I have underneath…shows up worst on sweaters I would return it but I bought it before Christmas and have worn it
